To get the Manor Key in Steal an Egg, take the train to Lost Town, walk straight ahead to find the glowing lake, and enter it to reach the secret fishing area. Keep fishing there until you catch the key. Once you have it, leave through the cave opening to reach the Abandoned Manor's front gate and use the key to unlock it.

Be prepared to spend some time fishing. In the playthrough shared for this guide, getting the key took more than 100 fishing attempts. That is one player's experience, not a guaranteed drop threshold or a requirement to fish 100 times.

Before You Start: Get a Fishing Rod and Train Ticket

You need a fishing rod to fish for the key and a Phantom Express Ticket to access the train. Follow the How to Get Ticket in Steal an Egg guide for the rod and ticket unlock steps.

If you need help finding the train, use the Phantom Express location guide.

Step 1: Take the Train to Lost Town and Find the Lake

Ride the train to Lost Town. After getting off, keep walking straight ahead to find the glowing lake. The lake is your entrance to the fishing area where you can obtain the Manor Key.

Step 2: Walk to the Center of the Glowing Lake

Walk to the center of the glowing lake. Once you reach the center, you will descend beneath the water into the mysterious fishing area. This is where you need to fish for the key.

Step 3: Keep Fishing Until You Catch the Manor Key

Use your fishing rod in this secret fishing area and keep fishing until you obtain the Manor Key. It may take many attempts, so patience matters.

The player who supplied this walkthrough caught the key only after 100+ fishing attempts. Your result may differ: that experience does not establish a drop rate, a minimum number of attempts, or a guaranteed reward after 100 catches.

If you have reached the fishing area through the glowing lake, you are in the location described by this walkthrough. Keep trying rather than assuming a run of unsuccessful catches means you missed the route.

Leave Through the Cave Opening to Reach the Manor Gate

After obtaining the key, leave the fishing area through the cave opening. This exit takes you directly to the Abandoned Manor's front gate. Use your Manor Key to unlock the entrance.

Once inside, head up the staircase to find the fusion altar. The Abandoned Manor Fusion Altar guide explains the next steps: both players must each have one Eternal Ghost Fish and one Divine Voidseer Pumpkin to perform the Cursed Monarch fusion.
