Steal an Egg New Update #7: Enchanted Forest
Update #7 adds the Enchanted Forest biome, eight pets, the Wisp mission, Butterfly Bloom, Enchanted Essence, and two hidden secrets.
The latest Steal an Egg new update opens the Enchanted Forest, a magical biome with eight new pets, a Wisp quest, the Butterfly Bloom activity, and two secrets to uncover. The forest is designed as both a new destination and a small progression loop: help the Wisp, unlock the Enchanted Tree, then take part in the butterfly event inside.
Update #7 at a Glance
| Addition | What is confirmed |
|---|---|
| Enchanted Forest | A new biome with eight pets to discover |
| Help Your Wisp | A mission chain that leads to the Enchanted Tree |
| Speed requirement | You need 50B Speed to reach and locate the Wisp |
| Butterfly Bloom | Catch butterflies with a Butterfly Net after unlocking the tree |
| Enchanted Essence | Crafted at the Enchanted Altar; it has a 100% success chance |
| Hidden secrets | A secret musical band and a hidden fusion machine |
The announcement confirms these systems, but does not yet list the eight pet names, rarities, exact mission objectives, butterfly exchange cost, or the fusion machine recipes. Check the live game interface before spending event resources; this page will be updated when those details are confirmed.
For the biome's 50B-Speed entry requirement, eight new Eggs, Wisp progression, Butterfly Bloom, and cave route, see the Enchanted Forest Steal an Egg guide.
Explore the Enchanted Forest
The Enchanted Forest is the new biome introduced in Update #7. It contains eight new pets and several discoveries beyond the normal pet hunt. Keep an eye out for interactable locations and mission prompts rather than assuming every reward is available immediately.
If you still need to train for the area, use the Steal An Egg Speed guide to compare training options, or estimate your progress with the Speed Calculator. The Wisp cannot be located until your character has 50B Speed.
Help Your Wisp and Unlock the Tree
Find the Wisp in the Enchanted Forest once you meet the 50B Speed requirement. The Wisp needs help returning home to the Enchanted Tree, so complete the missions it gives you and follow the in-game prompts.
Finishing the Wisp's mission chain unlocks the Enchanted Tree. This is an important step because the Butterfly Bloom activity begins from inside the unlocked tree. The official information does not currently specify the number of missions or whether their objectives rotate, so treat the live quest tracker as the source of truth.
For the confirmed four-stage quest flow, including the fusion, Eternal-pet, Wisp-growth, and cave-unlock objectives, read the Wisp in Steal an Egg quest guide.
Butterfly Bloom Event and the Butterfly Net
After the tree is unlocked, enter it and collect the Butterfly Net. Use the net during Butterfly Bloom to catch as many butterflies as possible, then exchange the butterflies for rewards.
The key reward is Enchanted Essence. Unlike earlier chance-based mutation consumables, it has a 100% success chance. Crafting requires traded butterfly materials at the Enchanted Altar, so confirm the current requirements before choosing which pet to improve.
For the complete butterfly trade-up and altar recipe, read How to Get Enchanted Essence. For background on how mutations affect income, see the Mutation Multiplier guide. You can also browse the Egg Index before using a limited mutation item.
Two Hidden Enchanted Forest Secrets
Update #7 confirms two secrets hidden in the biome:
- A secret musical band.
- A hidden fusion machine.
The Secret Fusion Cave route requires 50B Speed and the Banjo Bat from the Mushroom Secret Cave; equip the Bat at the platform edge to reveal its bridge. Read the Secret Fusion Cave guide for the route. The new Fusion Area's recipes and results are still unconfirmed, so do not assume the earlier Secret Shrine fusion rules apply here.
How to Prepare for This Steal an Egg New Update
- Reach 50B Speed before looking for the Wisp.
- Complete the Wisp missions and unlock the Enchanted Tree.
- Pick up the Butterfly Net inside the tree.
- Catch butterflies during Butterfly Bloom.
- Trade and craft the required butterflies, then use Enchanted Essence on a pet you genuinely want to improve.
- Explore for the musical band and fusion machine, but wait for on-screen requirements before committing pets or items.
